Tutoring Course Availability

The Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST) offers FSC students both in-person and remote tutoring options.

For face-to-face sessions on campus, please see below. These tutors can assist students remotely upon request.

• CAST Tutoring Schedule (for in-person, individual or small group sessions)

For fully online/remote sessions (both tutor and student are remote), please see below.

• NetTutor: offers drop-in-based (no appointments, wait in a queue), individual online tutoring sessions via Brightspace.
• RamTutor: offers appointment-based, individual online tutoring sessions with tutors from the CAST via Google Meet.

The table below lists all courses which are expected to tutoring available this semester. You can use the table's search feature to locate your course number (such as BIO 130) and see which options are available. 

Note: Students looking for assistance with Math should contact the Math Center. Students who require English, ELL, or Writing assistance should contact the Writing Center.

Course Not Listed?

Unfortunately, tutoring is not available for every course offered at the College. If you do not see the course for which you require assistance on the list, it means tutoring is not available at this time. Please note that the list is subject to change and is updated as staffing changes. The list of courses varies from semester based on student demand and available staffing. 

What to Do Next

Please contact your course instructor for extra help, or seek out peers in your class to form a study group. You may also complete the Course Request Form to notify the CAST staff of your need. While the Center will try its best to find a tutor, there is no guarantee that a tutor will be available this semester. Please note: this link is only active during the first couple weeks of the semester while the Center conducts the hiring of new tutors.
