How to get involved

Community Engagement

  • FSC is in the midst of planning a new garden on campus where food grown will be donated to the food pantry.
  • We have numerous affiliations with local and regional sustainability associations such as the U.S. Green Building Council, Long Island chapter.
  • Community educational opportunities are offered through the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center. Check them out here.

FSC Sustainability Committee

FSC's Sustainability Committee is a group of faculty, staff, and student representatives that is charged with creating, implementing, and analyzing our sustainability policies on campus. The committee meets once a semester to discuss ongoing opportunities to become more sustainable.

Do your part!

Making small changes can add up to making a big difference. Do your part! Remember to reduce your waste, and when you can't, buy reusable items. If neither can be done, recycle your materials. You can also use alternative transportation, conserve water, and purchase sustainably produced items.
