Manager Resources
Welcome to the Manager Resource page. This page will help you with information on recruitment, appointments of new and current employees and employee management.
Leadership is more than assigning goals for employees to meet; it's more about caring and showing them that they matter.
Manager Information
After the employee verbally accepts the offer Human Resources will take the following actions:
- Conduct a background check
- Send the employee all onboarding paperwork
- The employee is sent the official offer letter.
- The onboarding documents are sent and returned electronically.
- The I-9 Federal Employment Authorization must be done in person by the employee, which is the final piece of the onboarding paperwork
- When Human Resources has the completed onboarding paperwork, including the I-9, the department chair/director and the area administrative support person will receive an email from HR, alerting them that the onboarding paperwork is complete.
- A RAM ID and IT access (system logon) are created by Information Technology after the employee completes their I-9.
- The process to create this ID should be done within three days
- If IT access is not established within a week, the manager can contact the IT helpdesk at helpdesk@farmingdale.edu.
These checklists are a great guide to help you as a manager.
- UUP Professional Employees (non-teaching professionals) must be given their Performance Program within 45 days of employment and must be evaluated annually.
- Classified employees must be given a performance program upon hire and evaluated annually
