The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology specializes in technology-driven programs that develop critical thinking skills needed to identify, analyze, and design innovative practical solutions.
Our increasingly interconnected world requires experts in various branches of technology. Our department is home to students who are interested in designing, developing and implementing computer-based applications and others that plan to enter careers in electronics, communications, systems, and technical project management.
Outside the Classroom
Experiences outside the classroom are extremely valuable and the department encourages students to join the Institute of Electrical/Electronic Engineers (IEEE) which is the Farmingdale Student chapter of the IEEE professional organization.
