Call for Student Poster Presentations

Farmingdale State College invites students to submit posters for the ASEE Mid-Atlantic Conference on October 25-26, 2024, under the theme "Excellence in Applied Learning."

 

Posters should focus on innovative research or applied learning in engineering education including but not limited to the following discipline:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Materials Science and Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Architectural Engineering Technology
  • Civil Engineering Technology
  • Construction Management Engineering Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Electrical Engineering Technology

Requirements:

  • Standard academic poster dimensions (36" x 48")
    • Design: Use a single slide in PowerPoint or Slides to design the poster.
    • Text: Keep text clear and concise and avoid long sentences. Use basic fonts like  Arial, Helvetica, Calibri or Aptone.
    • Content: Include the presenter's name, co-authors, academic program, university, faculty advisor, funding sources, and project title.
    • Sections: Include an overview, background, aims, objectives, methodology, results, conclusions, and implications.
    • Submission: Submit the poster as a PDF file with the poster's desired size and the presenter's last name in the file name.
    • Presentation: Prepare a short summary of the project and practice a concise and clear presentation. Handouts are encouraged. 
  • Accompanied by a faculty advisor's letter of recommendation
  • Submission Deadline:** October 11, 2024

 

Submit your poster and recommendation via email (archcm@farmingdale.edu). 
Selected posters will be presented during the conference.
