Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore

The College Bookstore, operated by Barnes & Noble Corporation, is located in the Campus Center for the convenience of the entire College community.  The bookstore carries required and recommended textbooks, instructional materials, supplies, clothing and convenience items. The bookstore also offers a wide selection of school spirit items to allow you to show your Farmingdale State College pride, including clothing and accessories.

Textbook Rental

B&N offers textbooks in physical and digital formats. B&N also offers both new and used textbooks which can be purchased or rented.  These options allow students to consider all cost alternatives.  

"Textbook Express" is available to students to reserve their textbooks at the bookstore. The option to access "Textbook Express" is available via the online registration process via Oasis and provides details on all available purchase options, such as new, used, digital and rental.

The bookstore currently accepts cash, card, or financial aid. When paying for your rental textbook, a credit card is required to be kept on file even if another payment is used for renting books. This is used as a security measure in case the textbook is not returned or is damaged. It will not be charged unless the book is not brought back or is damaged.

The rental period for textbooks begins on the day you pay for the Textbook Rental and continues through the last day of final exams, as shown on your receipt. All rented textbooks must be returned to the bookstore, in good condition, by the rental return due date. Textbook rentals returned by mail must be postmarked by the rental due date. Financial Aid

If you receive a bookstore voucher from financial aid, you may use it for your books, supplies, and more during the financial aid period. Please contact student accounts to request your bookstore voucher.
