Winter in Taiwan
FSC is pleased to offer a Faculty Led Course in Taiwan! ARC 100 - Introduction to Architecture and Culture
(Winter 2025 - January 2-17)
Taiwan has always been one of the most important economic centers in East Asia. Because of the influx of many different cultures, the cities of Taiwan are a rich tapestry of architectural wonders.
You will explore the architecture of Eastern and Western architecture with the 3-credit course, ARC 100 (Introduction to Architecture and Culture) led by FSC's Prof, Michael Shenoda (Associate Professor, Civil Eng Tech). The class will be based at Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Xinfeng, Taiwan. Several class sessions will be on site in Xinfeng, Taipei and other locations. You will also have the opportunity to learn the essentials of Mandarin Chinese in sessions taught by a MUST professor.
The cost of the program is $2850 (tuition, housing, instruction, health insurance).
Eligibility:
- For SUNY students in any major
- GPA Requirement: 2.75
- Good disciplinary standing

Upon acceptance you will be asked for a $1000 deposit to guarantee your place (Nov. 15 deadline).
