- Transcript Request: Request your transcript two weeks prior to the completion of your semester. Please request to have the transcript sent directly to the Office of International Education and Programs. Overseas universities can take significantly longer to issue transcripts than the United States (up to 12 weeks). After requested, it can take up to 14 days for the record to be processed by our office and the Registrar office.
- Program Evaluation: We would love to learn about your experience abroad! Please complete your study abroad program evaluation within 30 days of the program end date. Your transcript will not be processed until you have completed the survey. Your results are essential to strengthening and improving the quality of programs for future students.

Re-entry Meeting: Welcome home! For some students, the most challenging part of their abroad experience will be returning to their home country. Students can feel bored after a whirlwind of travel adventure and that no one wants to hear their stories. It always helps to remain in touch with people from your host country who can relate to what you are going through. Some students even become frustrated with American culture. We can connect you with other study abroad participants who are experiencing the same thing. The adjustment period can take months. It is important you give yourself time to reflect and process your experience. Your re-entry is just another phase of the cultural adjustment process that will help you continue to grow and learn. It is a great privilege to study abroad and this experience will help propel you forward in your academic and professional life. We encourage you to come speak to any International Education and Programs staff member. Our office never gets tired of listening to our students’ stories.

- How Can I Go Abroad Again?: Many students catch the travel bug after studying abroad. Below please find some
resources on how to continue your international experience:
- Fulbright US Student Program: Fellowships for U.S. graduating college seniors, graduate students and young professionals to study, conduct research, and/or teach English abroad. In addition, Critical Language Enhancement Awards are available for study of critical need foreign languages before or during their grant period.
- Peace Corps: A service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation.
- Japan Exchange and Teaching Program: The JET Program is a competitive employment opportunity that allows young professionals
to live and work in Japan. It is an opportunity to work and represent the United States
as cultural ambassadors to Japan. Most participants serve as Assistant Language Teachers
(ALTs) and work in public and private schools throughout Japan; some work as Coordinators
for International Relations (CIRs) as interpreters/translators. The JET Program seeks
participants who are adaptable, outgoing, and who have a deep interest in Japan. Only
the best candidates are chosen to represent America.
- Global Student Ambassador Program: Your international experience does not have to end just because you returned home
or graduated. A Global Student Ambassador is a volunteer who shares his/her study
abroad story to help increase the number of students studying abroad. Each academic
year, the Office of International Education and Programs selects Global Student Ambassadors
who present to classrooms, speak on panels and participate in other recruitment events.
