While the minimum number of credits to be considered full-time in a term is 12, a student needs to complete 30 credits per academic year to ensure they complete their degree in the recommended timeframe, maintain program pursuit and do not exhaust their eligibility as TAP awards 6 semesters to students pursuing an Associate's Degree and 8 semesters for a Bachelor's Degree.
Only courses that apply toward the current academic program can be counted in determining full-time status. Courses that apply to a second major, a minor or credits that are above the minimum amount of credits, if a range of credits is provided, WILL NOT be counted and the student may be subsequently de-certified by the TAP Certifying Officer.
EXCEPTION: If student is a graduating senior in their last semester, as determined by needing no additional coursework other than the courses for which they are registered, and they need less than 12 credits to meet their degree requirements, we may include additional non-applicable credits for which they are registered to determine full-time status.
