The Nader-Wolverton Student Emergency Fund
The Nader-Wolverton Student Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to students who are unable to continue their studies due to unforeseen financial hardship. While priority is given to students nearing graduation, requests from underclassmen will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility
Eligible hardships may include, but are not limited to:
- Tuition assistance
- Food insecurity
- Transportation needs
- Emergency campus housing
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a matriculated, current student who has experienced an unanticipated emergency resulting in short-term financial hardship
- Be in good academic standing at the time of application
- Have applied for all eligible forms of financial aid, such as FAFSA, TAP, DREAM Act, Excelsior Scholarship, and Part-Time Aid (international students are exempt from this requirement)
Funds awarded through this program are used to offset college-related expenses and are distributed directly to student accounts, applied as meal plans, or in certain cases, provided as reimbursements.
