To the Campus Community:

Last night our students received two spam e-mail messages that appeared to come from the College. The e-mails were from a third party with no relationship to Farmingdale State College. These email messages falsely announced that FSC classes had been cancelled. FSC's IT department quickly identified the source of this communication, blocked it, and immediately implemented additional security measures to ensure that this does not happen again.

At Farmingdale, our cybersecurity and the protection of our systems and data is a high priority. We will continue to identify and invest in effective and reliable solutions to keep you and our campus safe from cyber intrusion.

Please note that any actual class cancellations would be posted on the home page of the website, as well as e-mailed and texted through our RAVE emergency notification system.
