FSC Welcomes New Faculty Across All Four Schools

Farmingdale State College’s (FSC) campus community has grown by 29 new faculty members, including 16 assistant professors, 12 lecturers and one fellow, in support of its academic programs. The esteemed faculty additions will cover an array of disciplines across FSC’s School of Business, Santmann School of Health Sciences, School of Engineering Technology and School of Arts and Sciences.

"I am pleased to welcome our new cadre of faculty who span multiple departments and schools,” said Laura Joseph, EdD, senior vice president and provost of FSC. “Each bringing with them a passion for teaching and a commitment to advancing their disciplines through their scholarly work.”

Since 2016, FSC has increased its fulltime faculty 25% and currently has a 20:1 student-to-faculty ratio. A New Faculty Orientation event, hosted by Assistant Provost Christopher LaBarbera, was recently held through The Faculty Center in Greenley Library.

“Sharing in their excitement and enthusiasm for the start of the academic year, our academic leadership team kicked-off an orientation program focused on building a sense of belonging and sharing information related to academic affairs,” Joseph said. “As we begin the 2024-2025 academic year, the future remains bright and full of possibilities for innovation both within academic affairs and across divisions.”
