Data is increasingly fundamental and indispensable to organizational decision-making in a competitive environment. And making data-informed strategies is predicted to be the underpinning of progress and success in many key industries. This program will prepare you for jobs that require skills in data analysis, visualization and presentation. It teaches students how to work with large data sets and perform data mining tasks to support evidence-based decisions in a progressively analytical world.

The Business Analytics BS—the first degree of its kind offered in SUNY or by any college on Long Island—will equip you to make the focused, engaging, and informative presentations that are essential to decision-making in today's organizations. Get a start on how to be an informed leader in the business world.

Freshman will be considered for admission for the fall 2019 semester. Transfer students will be considered for admission to the spring 2019 semester.

Graduates from the BS in Business Analytics will have powerful analytical skills combined with a strong business background. Therefore, graduates from the program will succeed in the changing business environment and will have the foundation necessary to pursue advanced degrees in the field as well.

Incoming Freshmen Requirements:

Applicants must meet all admission requirements for FSC. Students will be required to have taken Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and 1 Unit of Laboratory Science.

Transfer Student Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.70
  • Minimum grade of "C" in Mathematics (MTH 116) and Business Statistics (BUS 240)
