Keynote: “SET” for Success: Core Strategies for Effective Learning in a Metacognitive
      Framework
Dr. McCabe will share her recent research on three core learning strategies – Spacing,
Elaboration, and Testing (“SET”) – in the context of her own teaching experiences
and contemporary metacognitive and socio-emotional frameworks for learning.
Workshop: Get “SET” for Success in Our Classrooms: Small Changes, Big Impact
Bring your syllabi and course materials to this workshop. We will discuss how we can
increase effective learning through small-scale adjustments in course design based
on the “SET” strategies and the consideration of critical factors such as metacognition,
teacher trust, and sense of belonging. Please see the Faculty Center site for Agenda,
