Kick off the event with inspiring words from FSC leadership and community partners. Meet FSC President Robert Prezant and hear from Randi Shubin Dresner, CEO of Island Harvest. Capture the moment with a group photo!

 
MAIN EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

Intake Survey Distribution:
Share your thoughts and help us improve! Student volunteers will be distributing surveys at the entrance.

Farmers Market Stand:
Grab fresh, seasonal produce provided by Island Harvest. Take home some nutritious goodies!

Food Truck Tasting Menu:
Sample delicious seasonal dishes provided by Iron Mobile Chef Catering, sponsored by the Nexus Center.

Cooking Presentation:
Learn how to recreate the tasting menu using food pantry items and fresh produce for a healthier spin. Discover easy and affordable recipes!

Meal Kits Giveaway:
Take home a reusable bag filled with meal kits and recipe cards, courtesy of the FSC Food Pantry.

Information Booths and Resources:

• FSC Food Pantry Information Booth: Find out more about the pantry's mission, opening days, and volunteer opportunities. Earn applied learning service credits while making a difference!
• Island Harvest Community Resources Table: Get information on SNAP benefits and other valuable resources.
• NYS Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Table: Pick up helpful tips for healthier living.

DJ and Music:
Enjoy a lively atmosphere with background music throughout the event.
