Long Island Sustainability Series (LIS2) - Composting 101

The Long Island Sustainability Series (LIS2) is an educational series hosted by Farmingdale State College's (FSC) Office for Sustainability in partnership with Suffolk Community College (SCCC) funded by NYSP2I. The series is focused on pollution prevention (P2) and how Long Island residents can reduce their environmental impact. It is a mixture of lecture-style presentations by local experts and activity-based events, such as beach clean-ups and DIY green cleaning products.

The seventh event of the series will focus on Composting and will feature a presentation from Melissa Young, Director Syracuse University Center for Sustainable Community Solutions.
