Hide Or Fight: Nonbinary Life Stories In A Conservative Catholic Reality In Poland

In Honor of Transgender Day of Visibility 2023, the Sociology and Anthropology Department, the Artists and Lecturers Committee, and the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusive Excellence Presents a Lecture By Katarzyna Mankowska.  

Katarzyna Mankowska is a Polish researcher, cognitive scientist, and a Ph,D. candidate in the field of gender and sexuality. Her main scientific interest touches on developing gender identity and its relation to psychosexual identity.  Her research is based on the experiences of non-binary people who started transitioning while in a relationship and their cisgender partners.  Privately she is engaged in local LGBTQ+ activism in cooperation with Polish NGO's as well as European ones, such as IGLYO.
