"Building an Inclusive & Inter-sectional Feminism"

Women's Heritage Discovery Workshop Discussion

We are seeing a rising interest in feminist activism in recent years following the nation-wide Women's Marches and the heightened visibility of the #MeToo movement. This session will explore different ways activists have understood the mission of feminism and discuss how to organize feminism in a way so that it is inclusive and inter-sectional.

Dr. Jaime Hartless is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Farmingdale State College. This is her second year at FSC; prior to her appointment, she worked as a Lecturer at the University of Dayton after receiving her PhD from the University of Virginia. Her research interests focus on the politics of ally ship and inclusion within feminist and LGBTQ+activism.

We invite all members of the Farmingdale State College Community to participate.
