"Food For Your Soul" - Soul Food Cafe

"Soul Food" is a term that is used to describe African American ethnic cuisine.  African slaves were not given the finer cuts of meats, had to grow their own vegetables, and relied on the leftovers from the master's pantry.  The ingenuity of the members of the African Diaspora transformed what no one desired into a cuisine that is highly prized across the nation.  Come enjoy a sampling of these delectable sundries as we celebrate the genius of African American history and culture.  Bon appetite!

We invite all members of the Farmingdale State College Community of any background, socioeconomic status, and discipline to attend.
