Program Description

Novartis, a global pharmaceutical company, is partnering in a pilot program with Farmingdale State College to offer The Long Island Operations Future Talent mentorship program. This program will be offered virtually, and it will connect future leaders with subject matter experts at Novartis to nurture and develop students' professional skills. Participants in the program will receive real time mentorship to empower them to make decisions and gain valuable insights into their professional career path. Students will receive practical advice from Novartis' subject matter experts. Designed to help students grow their professional network and further develop their communication and interpersonal skills, this would be perfect for students about to enter their preferred industry for the first time.

Recommended academic areas of study: Science, Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration.

Timeline: Students must commit to a total of 10 hours of virtual/remote mentorship sessions to be conducted in mutually convenient sessions to be arranged between the student and their assigned mentor from October 16 through December 1, 2020. Students should also participate in the virtual Mentees Welcome/Orientation Workshop anticipated to take place for about 1 hour on Thursday, October 15.
