EMERGE stands for Educational Milestones in Enrollment, Retention, and Graduation Excellence and is funded by a $3 million Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions (DHSI) grant from the US Department of Education.
This transformative initiative is dedicated to fostering institutional change and is designed to break down barriers that traditionally underserved students face in pursuing their degrees. By 2029, EMERGE aims to serve a total of 1,250 students and 100 faculty, building a thriving network of support and mentorship across campus.
Our mission is simple. We’re here to help you thrive both inside and outside the classroom as you transition into Farmingdale State College. Starting college or transferring to a new campus is an exciting time filled with opportunities and challenges.
