Welcome Back FSC Rams!
Dear Students:
As you return to campus for the spring 2025 semester, you come back to a College that
is on the move and rising in the ranks. With more than 10,000 current students and
just under 120,000 alumnae, Farmingdale State College now ranks as the #4 top public
school for Regional Colleges (North) as per U.S. News and World Report, and #5 on
the Social Mobility Index according to CollegeNET. These are impressive numbers and
reflect the incredible work and dedication of our faculty and staff, and the focus
and intense efforts of all of you.
The spring semester looks to be an exciting one. I just received the Student Event
Calendar and it is jammed with amazing events that range from a Soul Food Café to
Arcade/Game Day to a Phenomenal Womyn program to Fountain Fest! Keep your eyes out
for Mascot Madness in March - Go Ram-Bo!! And be sure to get out and support our teams
at the many scheduled athletic events throughout the spring. The semester will even
bring an off-campus trip to Medieval Times. At the end of the term we have the much
anticipated, high energy, Ramchella to look forward to.
Be sure to study hard, but also take advantage of the extensive out-of-class opportunities
curated especially for you. And there is a wealth of opportunities for you to get
involved. Check with our folks in the Office of Student Activities or in your Student
Government Association for more information about what’s going on and how to participate.
