FSC Athletics Has What it Takes
To the Campus Community:
Farmingdale State College Athletics continued to shine in competition and in the classroom
this fall, with three conference championships, five academic all-district honorees,
three all-region selections, and 25 all-conference performers. The golf, women’s soccer,
and women’s tennis programs won their respective Skyline Conference championships,
with all three programs having a student-athlete named the conference’s Player of
the Year.
Three women’s soccer student-athletes were recently selected to the All-Region Team
by United Soccer Coaches, while another trio joined two volleyball student-athletes
on the Academic All-District Team. All fall programs qualified for Skyline Conference
postseason competition, while 25 student-athletes – including 15 first-team selections
– were cited on All-Skyline teams in their respective sports. Sophomore volleyball
athlete Sarah Rende received the inaugural Skyline Conference Elite 19 Award, which
recognizes the student-athlete with the highest GPA among competing institutions in
the conference championship.
