Course Offerings
Information About Class Format
Courses are offered in the following formats: traditional online, hybrid courses, Laboratory hybrid courses, synchronous, internships, and fully in-person courses are offered.
Class Types
- Specialized courses with descriptions such as flight, off-campus, internship, and independent study also have no special designation in OASIS.
- Hybrid courses a combination of face-to-face and online instruction
- Distance Learning courses are traditional online courses offered 100% asynchronously. These courses are coded as ONLINE under the room assignment in OASIS and the class schedule External link.
- Synchronous Learning courses will meet in synchronous sessions during the assigned class times. These courses are coded as SYNC Class under room assignment in OASIS and the class schedule External link.
- DEISJ courses develop knowledge and skills in Diversity: Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice. Students will be able to fulfill this requirement at FSC by taking a specially designated DEISJ course(s). DEISJ course titles end with an *D. Always speak with your advisor to select the courses needed to satisfy the general education requirements specific to your program of study. - Wait-Listing is available for many courses. Waitlisting is an option for students to get "in line" for courses that have filled/closed. Once a section closes you have the option to put yourself on the waitlist in that closed section.
