We are here to facilitate your transfer process, providing a smooth transition from
your previous institution. We look forward to meeting with you.
The Transfer Services Team
Have you earned your Associates Degree and are eager to continue your education? Are you still looking for the right college experience? Do you still search for a college environment that will provide you with an academic challenge, small class sizes, personal attention from dedicated professors and plenty of contact with your fellow students?
We seek to make the transfer process from other colleges as smooth as possible. Once
you have been accepted, we will provide a Transfer Credit Evaluation for courses taken
at another institution or through your high school (AP, CLEP, IB).
Prospective students can visit our Transfer Credit Database
As a transfer student you will follow regular admissions procedures. In addition please send an official transcript from all previously attended institutions to Admissions Office in Laffin Hall. We will begin the transfer credit evaluation process as soon as possible. Please be sure to specifically note any earned degrees on your transcript.
This is a great time to transfer to Farmingdale State College, but don’t take our word for it, come see all we have to offer. Come to campus to learn about the transfer process, meet with one of our team members and take a campus tour.
NEW - Residence Access Program
If you are a new student—freshman, transfer, or international—who is enrolling for Fall '19, you may qualify for Farmingdale’s new Resident Access Program (RAP). This program provides a $2,000 award for qualified resident hall students who live in-state and a $4,000 award for those who qualify from out-of-state. Awards will be based on a variety of factors including academic performance and need. Students will remain eligible for the award as long as they stay in good academic standing as a full-time student and resident hall occupant. No special application required, but students must submit a FAFSA. All new students will be considered, but you must submit both your admissions application by May 1 and your resident hall application by July 15.
