Emergency Preparedness
There are several types of emergencies one could potentially face, each requiring specific responses and preparations. Natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods can cause a lot of damage. Health emergencies include things like pandemics or sudden serious illnesses. Accidents or injuries often need quick help from emergency services. There are also emergencies caused by people, such as acts of terrorism or public disturbances. It’s important to be ready for these emergencies by knowing what to do and having a plan. Please use the information on this site as a resource to help you through an emergency.
In preparation for an emergency consider the following:
- Keep immigration and travel documents in a secure place.
- Submit a FERPA application if you want family to gain access to your personal information.
- Keep your contact information up to date on your SEVIS portal and with the college registrar.
- Sign up for the FSC campus alert system FSC emergency notification provider RAVE and Rave Guardian.
In the event of an emergency:

- You will be notified by FSC via a campus wide email sent to your FSC email address
